16 members joined the first survey trip of the year on Saturday 12th March 2016 including two first-timers.  After picking up in Alfreton, Swanwick, Ripley and Denby, we met the rest of the group in The Old Kings Head, Belper, walked along to Arkwright’s Bar then travelled to The Canal Inn, Bullbridge, The George at Lower Hartshay, The Black Boy at Heage and The Spanker at Nether Heage.  The Spanker changed hands 7 weeks ago and we were pleased to find it busy with a nice atmosphere and good choice of beer.
