Social Secretary Report – February 2017

Sixteen members joined the survey trip on Friday 3rd February.  We visited the Cross Keys, the Grapes and the George & Dragon in Belper then drove out to the Fisherman’s Rest at Broadholme, the King William at Milford and finished at Arkwrights in Belper.

The following beers were noted –

 

Cross Keys – Marston’s Draught Bass, Batemans Keys Bitter, Falstaff Fistful of Hops

The Grapes – Marston’s Pedigree, Wychwood Hobgoblin Gold, Banks Amber Ale

George & Dragon – Abbeydale Moonshine, Greene King Abbot Ale, Marston’s Draught Bass, Tower East Mill Bitter, Littleover Panther, Six Nations Kick-Off

Fisherman’s Rest – Marston’s Pedigree, Sharp’s Doombar and Atlantic, Black Sheep Golden Sheep

King William – Marston’s Draught Bass, Timothy Taylor Landlord and Boltmaker, Sharp’s Doombar

Arkwrights – Ruddles County, Williams Bros. New Beginning, Brass Castle Comet, Burning Sky Aurora, Full Mash Warlord, Byatts Blackfriars Porter, Saffron Blonde.

 

The next minibus survey trip will be held on Friday 3rd March.

 

We will be visiting Burton on Trent CAMRA Festival on Friday 31st March for the afternoon session, travelling by train from Alfreton or Belper or the 9’s bus to Derby then the X38 Express to Burton – further details will be circulated nearer the time.

 

Anne Kennedy has organised an Amber Ramble for Saturday 25th February – details have been circulated – setting off at 11.30 from the corner of Chapel St/Rykneld Rd, Kilburn.
