Social Secretary Report – August 2016
10 members joined the pub walk around Chesterfield on Saturday 30th July – we had a lovely afternoon and the warm sunny weather meant we were able to appreciate some nice beer gardens. We met at the White Swan, St Marys Gate where we were unexpectedly joined by Pauline and Lorna from Chesterfield branch who had already given us some tips on pubs to try that we hadn’t visited before. The Rutland Arms was second on the list, then a walk out of town to two very good pubs with excellent beer choices – the Neptune and the Chesterfield Arms. We then walked back into town to the Chesterfield Alehouse micropub and out on the Chatsworth Road to the Barlow Brewery Tap and Tramway Tavern (Brampton Brewery).
