Belper goes Green 2017 Beer & Cider Festival

The fifth Belper Goes Green Beer & Cider Festival is to be held at the Belper Rugby Club, Derby Rd, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 1UU this year. The festival will again be supported, staffed, and organised by the Amber Valley Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.

The beer festival runs from 6.00pm Friday 2nd June to 10pm Sunday 4th June.

Admission is free at all times.

The Belper Goes Green Eco Festival runs from 11am on Saturday and Sunday.

Beer festival opening hours are from 6.00pm to 11pm Friday and 11am to 11pm on Saturday &
12 noon to 10pm on Sunday.

Beers: There will be 30 beers and 10 ciders and perries on sale. A wide range of styles, types and strengths of quality beer will be available from local and not so local breweries. 

Festival beers will be priced from £2.80 a pint.

Wines, spirits, soft drinks etc. will be available at the Rugby Club bar.

Entertainment: Booked so far are Blackfish, Water for Dogs, David Young Band, Matt McGuinness and the MLC and the results of Rebel Yell, a series of protest song writing workshops held in February and March. More details later.

On Saturday & Sunday the Belper Rugby Club Strutts Playing Field will host many stands and attractions including; live music, stalls, crafts, energy advice, jewellery, textiles, artists, electric bikes, natural health, Fun Palace workshops, books, plants & much, much more. Food: Confirmed food stalls so far; Hot & cold food will be available from many outlets including The Rugby Club, Speedough Pizza, Crepesel, Soundbites, Churromania, Stephanies Spuds & Specials, Vork Pie, Coffee-Modo and L&A Donuts. More details later.

Location: Belper Rugby Club is situated on the main A6 road just 5 minutes walk south of Belper town centre. There is on-site parking for blue badge holders only, but plenty of free parking is available locally..

Transport: Belper rail & bus stations are also only 5 minutes walk away.
